FAITH  IN  PRACTICE

Here are images of my "religion". Though they may be quite meaningless to you if you are not familiar with Islam, each picture evokes different memories and feelings for me. Two of the places I have not been to include the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, and The Mosque of Sulaiman. With exception to Mosque of Sulaiman, the three other places represent Islam's holiest shrines.

The Mosque of Sulaiman in present day Istanbul. A magnificent place I am dying to visit.

The Pulpit from which Prophet Muhammed gave many of his sermons in Madina. It is now in the Prophet's Mosque in Madina.

Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. This golden domed mosque is Islam's third holiest shrine. The Israeli government is excavating under this structure in an attempt to find the Temple of Solomon weakening the structures foundation.

The holiest Shrine in Islam. The grand mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. This image is a time-lapsed photo of people circumambulating the Ka'ba.
